Pioneer Days

Experience the life of the early Mennonites in Manitoba at our Pioneer Days festival! Witness pioneer demonstrations, steam-powered threshing, live music, and lots of good food as we share the stories of Manitoba Mennonite beginnings.



Saturday, August 5 – 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Sunday, August 6 – 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Monday, August 7 – 9:00 am to 5:00 pm



$12.00 adults

$10.00 seniors (65 and up)

$10.00 students (ages 13-22)

$6.00 children (ages 6-13)

Free for ages 5 and under


ANNUAL MEMBERSHIPS:           $30.00 individual

(Includes free admission)               $50.00 family

  • Baking bread in the Outdoor Oven
  • Milling wheat in the Windmill
  • Blacksmithing
  • Ropemaking behind the blacksmith shop
  • Wheelwrighting
  • Printing at the Print Shop
  • Steam powered activities (Sat, Mon)
  • Horse powered activities (Sat, Mon)
  • Shingle making by the Sawmill (Sat, Mon)
  • Field Work demonstrations (weather permitting – Sat, Mon)
  • Antique Tractors in the Agricultural Display Building
  • Visit the Farm Animals in the barnyard
  • Quilting in the Village Centre
  • Visit the artisans in the General Store
  • Shop at the Village Books & Gifts in Village Centre
  • Check out the Old-Fashioned Candy at the Candy Booth
  • Horse Drawn Wagon and Buggy Rides – All Weekend
  • FAMILY HISTORY STATION in the Village Centre. Research your family history

  • Saengerfest – in the Village Centre Auditorium at 3:00 pm
  • Guided tours – ‘Russlaender’

Monday, August 7
