The General Store
Open May through September.
The General Store is an amazing treasure trove. Home to local artisans and their unique creations, they will keep your eyes dancing from trinket to trinket and tease your taste buds with an abundance of old fashioned candy and other delicious goods. This is a must-see for children and adults of all ages.
Presenting couples with the unique opportunity to host their special moment in history, surrounded by it. With the Auditorium and Summer Pavilion offering ideal space for groups of various sizes, the warm historic atmosphere is the perfect venue for celebrating this occasion.
The Auditorium presents a warm classic feel, as the high cedar beams of the vaulted ceiling crate a beautiful backdrop. The Summer Pavilion lends a more modern feel, by mixing concrete and cedar with six glass overhead doors. When opened these doors bring a unique “open-air” feeling to the space. Both venues offer table seating for up to 200 guests.
Mennonite Heritage Village also offers several heritage buildings to incorporate into your special day, suitable for ceremonies, bridal rooms, etc. Boasting 40 acres of park-like grounds here at the village, there are also several spectacular outdoor locations throughout the grounds suitable for your special moment.
Mennonite Heritage Village offers two separate meeting rooms, accommodating several group sizes. For larger groups, the Auditorium and Summer Pavilion offer table seating for up to 200 guests and row seating for up to 300, with sound and projection services available. Working to customize each experience, several services are available to meet your rental needs such as coffee and catering services, wagon rides, barrel train rides, event barbeque rentals, general store services, tours and more. Whether you are looking for space for meetings, fundraisers, banquets, private and corporate picnics, as well as various private events, we strive to offer a memorable gathering place for businesses, families and communities, while providing exceptional service and a unique experience.
