Celebrate the 151st anniversary of Mennonites arriving in Manitoba this summer during the August Long Weekend at our Pioneer Days festival! Immerse yourself in the life of early Mennonites in Manitoba and explore their rich history through hands-on demonstrations, steam-powered threshing, live music, and delicious food. Experience the stories that shaped the beginnings of the Mennonite community in Manitoba.
Highlights of the event include:
Pioneer Demonstrations
Beginning at: 10:00am Saturday & Monday, 1:00pm on Sunday (limited)
- Baking bread in the Outdoor Oven
- Milling wheat in the Windmill
- Blacksmithing
- Printing at the Print Shop
- Steam-powered activities (Sat, Mon)
- Horse powered activities (Sat, Mon)
- Sawmill demonstrations (Sat, Mon)
- Field Work demonstrations (Sat, Mon, weather permitting)

Explore Our Village:
- Visit artisans in the General Store
- Shop at Village Books & Gifts in the Village Centre
- Indulge in old-fashioned treats at the Candy Booth
- Research your family history with our experts at the Village Centre
- Enjoy Horse-Drawn Wagon rides and children’s activities, including the Barrel Train!
- Guided Tours all weekend!
