Author Event : Mennonite Village Photography
Oct 16 @ 8:00 am - Nov 11 @ 7:00 pm
Join us on November 10th, 2020 at 7:00m as we launch the new book “Mennonite Village Photography”, a collaborative effort put together by the Mennonite Historic Arts Committee (MHAC).
MHAC is committed to the preservation, publication and exhibition of historic Mennonite art forms.
This publication compiles the work of four young Mennonite photographers from villages in southern Manitoba at the turn of the twentieth century. With the fresh optimism and audacity of youth, they captured a unique period of Mennonite life in western Canada. Along with special music, evening presenters are:
Susie Fisher, PhD, Curator Gallery in the Park; Andrea Klassen, MA, Senior Curator, Mennonite Heritage Village; Roland Sawatzky, PhD, Curator of History, Manitoba Museum; Conrad Stoez, MA, Archivist, Mennonite Heritage Archives.
You do not want to miss this event and the opportunity to add a signed copy of this beautiful publication to your book shelf.
