Couples who use the museum for their wedding will have the opportunity to hold their special event in the Auditorium or Summer Pavilion (seasonal) with banquet space for everyone invited to feel comfortable. The unique atmosphere is the perfect venue for celebrating this occasion. Mennonite Heritage Village offers two historic churches and historic buildings with park-like grounds for photo opportunities. We are located in Steinbach, Manitoba, off highway 12.
Our wedding package is a 2-day package, offering ample time for set-up, décor and rehearsal. The package also includes tables and chairs, sound system access, After hours fees, kitchen usage – flatware and china included, amongst other inclusions. Though Mennonite Heritage Village is a non-licensed facility, alcohol is permitted once a permit is obtained from the Manitoba Liquor and Gaming Authority. Outside catering is permitted, however we do highly recommend catering services from our Livery Barn Restaurant.
The Auditorium offers warmth with high cedar beams and a vaulted ceiling creating a beautiful backdrop, while the Summer Pavilion presents a more modern feeling by mixing the concrete and cedar with six glass overhead doors. When opened they create an “open-air” feeling. Both offer seating for up to 200+ guests. Historical buildings are available for rent, including two historic churches: The Old Colony Church, which seats 180 people and the Lichtenau Church hold 80 people. The grounds cover 40 acres and offer multiple rental locations suitable for outdoor events.
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date.
